When you wake up every morning, When you feel the blankets turning, For the very first time in your day, When you touch your perfume bottles When you put your pretty shoes on Just behind the threshold of your way, When you buy your morning coffee, When you open up your novel, When you're gonna read the words you never knew, Its in these moments only, When you're feeling sad and lonely, It's in these moments when I think of you. There is no comfort in a world beyond the one I feel with you. There is no light beyond the one with which you make me shine. And if I knew that you were close, I'd always look for you. And when you think of me, I know that you are reading these few lines. In my dreams your voice is soothing. In my dreams you're always choosing, Choosing if you want to stay or go. In my dreams you always smile And I think after a while, That maybe there is something you should know. I've been looking at our faces On the pictures we have taken, And I know, you're looking at them too. I've been reading your old letters, But I think it would be better If all those little moments were brand new. There is a place inside my heart, a place where you will always stay. I left you to protect us from our heartbreaking designs. Perhaps it's for the best that you are somewhere far away, But when you think of me, I know that you are reading these few lines.
